Puerto Rico Rates
As detailed in our Puerto Rico Rate Sheet (see left), Font Translations offers discounted pricing for individuals, businesses, attorneys and law offices based in Puerto Rico.
Post-Hurricane Discounts
Subject to our discretion on a case-by-case basis, we are offering a 10% discount on all of our Puerto Rico rates to Puerto Rico residents and persons who have relocated from Puerto Rico in the wake of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, and who can present proof of ongoing financial hardship. This can include:
- Proof of welfare, disability compensation, veteran’s benefits, or other government assistance.
- Certification by a Legal Aid Office and/or by an attorney or law firm that the case requiring translation is being serviced on a Pro Bono Basis.
- Other evidence of financial need.
NOTE: Persons experiencing homelessness, or who are residing in a shelter or temporary housing, may also be available for additional discounts. Please contact us to discuss your situation.
Deposition & Screenwriter Discounts
- ”Depo 12” For deposition translation, 12 cents per Spanish-language word for projects in excess of 12 pages. 15 cents per word for projects with 12 pages or less. (This is a 20% discount.)
- “Screenwriter” For screenplay translations for Puerto Rico-based translators, 13.5 cents per Spanish or English source language word.(A 25% discount on our normal screenplay translation rate of 18 cents per word.)
